Successful show “RUWSchau+” in Hamm
The show RUWSchau+ took place in Hamm on October 24th 2019.
his year’s focus of the RUWSchau+ was on lifetime production and longevity. 30 out of the 160 Holstein show cows have already produced more than 50,000 kg of milk up to 139,000 kg of milk.
Let’s begin with the medium classes of the Red Holstein cows. Matisse Red daughter Halalie owned by Willi Achten from Kempen became champion in the first class. She was followed by the famous Present daughter Alwine owned by Heinz-Gerd Stegemann from Hamminkeln. NH Virginia (s. Label P) dominated the second class. WIT Jolie (s. Lacoste) won ahead of the Julandy daughter Goja in the last medium class of the Red Holstein cows. In the end, due to her impressive appearance WIT Jolie became champion here.
Julandy daughter Goja
Several daughters of GGI-SPERMEX bulls convinced in the medium classes of the Holstein cows as well. Goldday daughter Wendy won her class due to an excellent udder. The very harmonic Epochal daughter Tequila housed on the breeding farm of Christa Ewig from Stolberg was the leader in another class.
There was another changed detail of the RUWSchau+, sorting the cows from fourth calf by lifetime production. The first class win was achieved by the medium-sized and extremely correct Lonar daughter Brendy owned by the Böhl-Melbach GbR located in Erndtebrück. Elaine (s. Antares) of Marco Sonntag from Promster had to give best to her narrowly. Goldboy daughter EsH Esperanza won the next class, followed by Antares daughter Tassia. The seven calver Gibor daughter Ursly presented herself very fresh and vital in the next class – and reached the 1b rank.
Besides the show competition one of the highlights was the award of cows having the highest lifetime productions. Nine Holstein cows with the highest lifetime productions of the show were introduced separately again. We would like to introduce to you the two daughters of GGI-SPERMEX bulls having the highest productions. One of the highest living production cows of the Red Holstein breed in the RUW area is the Erasmus daughter Icecoup owned by Thomas Wiethege from Halver. Icecoup has a current lifetime production of 130,000 kg.
As the crowning finale, the Percy daughter Amercy of Volker Elsermann from Hamminkeln was presented. This unbelievable cow already produced a lifetime production of 140,000 kg milk in only seven lactations. Moreover Amercy has the highest 3 generation lifetime production with her dam and grand dam.
We are very happy about these great achievements and ranks we would like to congratulate the breeders and owners on – we wish all the best and success with Genetics made in Germany in future!
