Bull of the month July 2019: Bonum 823160
Balisto x Epic x Garrett
The genomic sire and our bull of the month in July, Bonum, will get his first daughter proven breeding value in August, but his daughters in milk already know how to impress. His very uniform daughter group – that enthused the audience with its balance and correctness for body – at the German Dairy Show in the end of June in Oldenburg impressively proved the first milk recording information and the impressions from the farms. There will be numerous more Bonum progeny to calve in the next few months.
The progeny of the Balisto son out of the family of Picston Shottle was deep and wide cows having well-sloped, wide rumps. They excel with highly and firmly attached udders with optimal teat placement. The farms are pleased to have the Bonum daughters due to very good components and low cell score confirming the clearly above average RZS and RZudderfit. With more than 8,500 calvings Bonum can definitely be used on heifers.
Bonum’s daughters offer many very good reasons to use him as daughter proven sire, too.
