Expensive Hotspot P daughter
The Holstein Forum Kösters Variety Sale took place for the fifth time on May 19th 2019 in co-operation of Holstein Forum and the Rinder-Union-West eG.
This time the venue was different. The sale was held on the farm Holtmann in Münster-Albachten where also the 3rd Wagyu Spring Sale took place on the same day. So there was lots of diversion for the audience at this event. Following a Wagyu burger the prospective buyers of Holstein and Jersey cattle could focus on the wide range of high quality. Top heifers, premium type animals and genomically high, promising animals were to be sold.
As the auction went smoothly a Hotspot P daughter was the measure of things again. Auctioneer Andreas Aebi sold her for 15,000 € to the Netherlands after an exciting bidding duel. The Hotspot P daughter HFP Quty P descends from the internationally well-known cow family of Bersaglio HF Qualsiasi, is polled and has top breeding values in the North American systems, for RZG and especially for the Dutch NVI and the Italian GPFT. So it is surprise that she aroused so much interest.
The most expensive red calf was PrismaGen Kiss-Red sold for 11,000 € to an Italian bidder. The price of another first choice cow calf of Solitair P from the combination with VHH Prime-Red was 11,000 € as well. The new home will be a barn in North Rhine-Westphalia.
We congratulate the organizers, attendees and buyers on this great event and wish lots of success with genetics made in Germany!
