Approx. 24,000 visitors attended the event. More than 1,000 cows of 8 breeds shone in the show competitions and young breeders‘ competition. Several animals having German sires were in the list of results of this internationally renowned show this year.

First of all Godewind daughter SHo Godewind Frisca owned by Ueli Bürkli from Muri. The extremely framy Frisca having a first-class udder was sold to Switzerland as an embryo by the breeding farm Schwarze, Barnstedt, and is the only Godewind daughter in milk there so far. She was already successful at shows as young cattle and was awarded the title “Miss Black Beauty” at “Swiss Red Night” in Bern last year. She had her so far biggest achievement of her career on the last weekend: She became intermediate champion and, therefore, best young cow as well as reserve udder champion.

The daughters of Apoll P and Power excelled impressively in the Red Holstein competition. There were 1b ranks in the cattle categories by Power daughter Mollanges Power Starlette owned by Pascal Henchoz, Essertines, and PraderGrens Power Red Line owned by Cédric and Monique Pradervand-Rey from Grens. The French Mad Max daughter LBB Zoumax owned by Elevage Le Bois Brillant, St Sigismond, became second of her category. Her sister Rey Mad Max Helga-Flo owned by Rey Holsteins from Les Verrires dominated her category.

The treble of Power completed the heifer classes perfectly. His daughters Monny Power Shyme, Christian and Hervé Monney, Les Cullayes, Bopi Power Lower Oberson-Pasquier Association, Maules and Germain Power Maddy, Germain Ferme, St-George, asserted themselves.

Among the cows the two Apoll P daughters Schrago Apoll Arctique and Schrago Apoll Ingrid owned by Schrago Frères, Middes, led their category.

In addition, Schrago Apoll Arctique was awarded the title “honorable Mention” of the young cattle and reserve udder champion. What a success!

We congratulate all breeders and exhibitors and wish lots of success with Genetics made in Germany in future!
